It works by reducing certain substances in the body called histamines that are responsible for the allergic symptoms. It also reduces swelling inside the nose and thus decreases symptoms such as stuffy nose. This helps in easy breathing and makes you feel better. Use this medicine only in the nose and if it gets into your eyes or mouth, rinse it off right away with water for at least 10 minutes.
Allegra Nasal Duo Spray is a combination of two medicines. Fluticasone Furoate is a steroid that works by blocking the production of certain chemical messengers in the body that cause inflammation (redness and swelling) and allergies. Azelastine is an antihistaminic medication. It treats allergy symptoms such as itching, swelling, and rashes by blocking the effects of a chemical messenger (histamine) in the body. This is how Allegra Nasal Duo Spray treats an allergic runny nose.
